Good day aspiring ThinkLab facilitators!

We will be having our training and orientation tomorrow May 20, 2014 – 2PM to 6PM!

Our venue would be at Mushroomburger, 297 Katipunan Avenue, Loyola Heights, Quezon City.

Things to Bring:

  1. PERSONAL LAPTOP – We require everyone to bring their own laptops so that they can work on exercises on their own. Required Specs – WINDOWS XP / 7 / 8 only, atleast 1GB Ram and with working USB ports.
  2. PEN and PAPER – for taking down notes.
  3. Last but not the least, yourself 😉

Other Details:

  1. Be ready with your ICEBREAKER suggestions for the workshop and other ideas to make the training and workshop more enjoyable for the kids. 🙂

GIZDUINO EX Day 3 this coming Saturday, May 10, 2014.

Our venue would be at E-Gizmo Mechatronix Central, 2nd floor VSC Building, 2313 Taft Avenue., Malate, Manila

  • Beside One Archer’s Place Condo

How to get there from EDSA:

  • Ride the MRT to Taft Avenue Station, last station
  • Ride the LRT-Line 1 station and drop off at Vito Cruz station.
  • Ride a jeep going to Quirino Station of LRT, drop off at VSC Building / One Archer’s Place
  • Or you can walk from Vito Cruz Station to E-Gizmo

How to get there from Cubao:

  • Ride the LRT-2 at Cubao – Gateway Station going to LRT-2 Recto Station, last station
  • Walk towards LRT-1 D. Jose Station from LRT-2 Recto via footbridge.
  • Ride the LRT-1 D.Jose Station and drop off at Vito Cruz station.
  • Ride a jeep going to Quirino Station of LRT, drop off at VSC Building / One Archer’s Place
  • Or you can walk from Vito Cruz Station to E-Gizmo

Hello there THINKERS! 

It’s Thursday and we know you love to reminisce every Thursday so here’s our Throwback Thursday post.

This is the basic soccer bot that ThinkLab used for the Tagisang Robotics Competition (TRC) 2011 and 2012.

** The complete soccer bot, controller and the mobot itself

** The modified flight controller (Logitech Attack 3) used to control the mobot

**The controller board and the motor drivers for the soccer bot

** The motors and the power supplies of the mobot

For those who have not heard TRC, Tagisang Robotics is a varsity type soccer robot competition for high school students.

Tagisang Robotics is hosted by Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) and ThinkLab as their training partner together with E-Gizmo Mechatronix Central as ThinkLab’s industrial partner.

More than thirty (30) public and private high schools in Metro Manila and nearby provinces battled it out in a competition where camaraderie, teamwork and strategy is the name of the game.

This year, come November / December 2013, the final competition will be held for the Tagisang Robotics 2013. New mechanics, new teams and new soccer bots will be waiting so just stay tuned to our posts here to get updates and to be a part of this momentous event.
